ComparisonsApeiroCraft vs FreshBooks

Looking for FreshBooks alternatives?

FreshBooks is accounting software first, and a good one: invoices, expenses, reports and payroll for small service businesses. Proposals arrive on its Plus plan, where a client can accept, ask questions and e-sign inside FreshBooks, and an accepted proposal converts to an invoice.

The difference is where each tool starts. FreshBooks starts at the books and works back to the pitch, and it prices that way: $23, $43 or $70 a month at standard rates, a cap on billable clients on the lower tiers, and $11 a month for each extra team member. ApeiroCraft starts at the pitch: tracked proposals, e-signature, a CRM pipeline and invoicing, at $19, $79 or $149 a month for the whole account, with a free plan that has no time limit. If you need real accounting, FreshBooks does something we don't.

Choose ApeiroCraft if…

  • Winning the work is the hard part, and you want to see when a proposal is opened so you follow up at the right moment.
  • You want a sales pipeline next to the proposals, not just a client list behind the invoices.
  • You have a small team and would rather not pay per person for everyone who touches a proposal.
  • You'd like to send real proposals on a free plan before paying anything.

FreshBooks is the better pick if…

  • You need accounting, expense tracking or payroll in the same tool as your invoices.
  • Your accountant already works in FreshBooks and you want the books and the billing in one place.
  • You rarely send proposals, and invoicing is most of what you do.

Seriously — if that's you, use FreshBooks. A tool you resent switching to helps nobody.

Common questions.

Does FreshBooks have proposals and e-signatures?

Yes, from the Plus plan up. FreshBooks' proposal page says clients can accept, ask questions and add an electronic signature inside FreshBooks, that a proposal shows whether it is in progress, viewed or accepted, and that accepted proposals convert to invoices. Its pricing page doesn't include proposals on Lite.

How much does FreshBooks cost?

As of October 2026, FreshBooks' US pricing page lists Lite at $23/month (5 billable clients), Plus at $43/month (50 billable clients) and Premium at $70/month (unlimited), with heavy introductory discounts for the first months. Each extra team member is $11/month, and Select is priced on request. There is a 30-day free trial with no card.

Is ApeiroCraft a replacement for FreshBooks?

Not if you use FreshBooks for accounting. ApeiroCraft doesn't do bookkeeping, expenses or payroll. It replaces the client-facing half: proposals with read receipts and e-signature, the CRM pipeline, and the invoice the signature creates. Some businesses use ApeiroCraft to win and invoice the work and keep their accounting where it is.

Which is cheaper for a small team?

For proposals, usually ApeiroCraft. FreshBooks proposals start on Plus at $43/month, and three people cost $65/month at standard rates. ApeiroCraft's Solo plan is $19/month for up to 3 people, and Team is $79/month. FreshBooks' price also covers accounting, which ApeiroCraft doesn't offer.

Can I try ApeiroCraft without a credit card?

Yes. The free plan has no time limit and no card requirement, and it includes proposal sending with read receipts and e-signature.
