Plutio alternatives in 2026
Plutio packs a lot into its $19 Core plan, including proposal view tracking, but Core is built for solo work and capped at nine active clients. Pro is $49 and Max is $199, and there's a 7-day trial rather than a free plan. If the client cap or the jump to $49 is why you're looking, here are six alternatives, and what each one caps instead.
| Tool | Starting price | Limit to watch | Free plan | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ApeiroCraft | Free; Solo $19/mo, Team $79/mo, Agency $149/mo | 3, 5 or 20 people; 50, 400 or 2,000 sends a month (Free: 3 proposals + 3 invoices) | Yes, no time limit | Small teams who want proposals, invoices and a CRM, limited by people and sends rather than clients |
| Moxie | $12/mo Starter, $25 Pro, $40 Teams ($10/$20/$32 billed annually) | Teams holds up to 5 members; client portal from Pro | No, 14-day trial | Solo freelancers who want the lowest price and time tracking |
| Dubsado | $335/yr Starter, $525/yr Premier | 3 users included, more from $25/mo; scheduling and workflows on Premier | No, 21-day trial | Service businesses that want deep automated workflows and pay yearly |
| Hello Bonsai | Essentials $25/user/mo ($19 annual); Basic $15 has no proposals | Per user; proposals start at Essentials; Elite needs 3 users | No, 7-day trial | Freelancers who want proposals, contracts and invoicing in a per-user tool |
| HoneyBook | $36–$129/mo monthly ($29–$109 billed yearly) | US, Canada, UK and Australia only; processes client payments | No, 30-day trial | Creatives in the US, Canada, the UK or Australia who need scheduling and payments |
| Prospero | $19/user/mo, or $12 billed annually | Per member; proposals only, no invoicing | No, 14-day trial, no card | You mainly used Plutio for proposals |

1. ApeiroCraft
Free; Solo $19/mo, Team $79/mo, Agency $149/mo
Our own product, so read this entry as interested. Proposals go out as links with read tracking (opens and re-opens) and an e-signature that records name, email, IP and a UTC timestamp. An accepted proposal becomes an invoice in one click, and contacts, tasks and a team notes wiki sit on the same records. Pricing is per account, not per user: Solo covers three people for $19 a month, Team five for $79, Agency twenty for $149. Plans are limited by people and by sends a month (50 on Solo, 400 on Team, 2,000 on Agency); drafts are unlimited. No time tracking, scheduler, client portal or API.

How to choose
Every tool here caps something: clients, people, sends, features or countries. Pick the one whose cap you won't hit. If you have more than nine active clients but work alone, Moxie Starter or ApeiroCraft Solo sit below Plutio Pro's $49. If several people need access, compare team ceilings: Moxie stops at five, Dubsado includes three, ApeiroCraft covers three, five or twenty.
Then check the feature you can't drop. Plutio, Moxie, Dubsado and HoneyBook cover more of the business; ApeiroCraft and Prospero are narrower, and neither tracks time. For a side-by-side see ApeiroCraft vs Plutio, and if you're paying for several tools at once, why ten tools that don't talk cost more.
Questions
- What is the best Plutio alternative?
- For the lowest price with time tracking, Moxie. For proposals, invoices and a CRM shared by a small team at a flat price, ApeiroCraft. For automated workflows, Dubsado. If you're solo with fewer than ten active clients, Plutio Core may already be the best value.
- Is there a free alternative to Plutio?
- Of the tools on this page, ApeiroCraft is the only one with a free plan that doesn't expire: one person, three proposals and three invoices sent a month, with e-signature and read tracking and no card. Every other tool here, Plutio included, offers a trial of 7 to 30 days instead.
- How much does Plutio cost?
- Core is $19 a month, built for solo work and capped at nine active clients. Pro is $49 a month and includes 30 contributors, and Max is $199. There's a 7-day trial. Prices checked 7 October 2026.
- Why do people switch from Plutio?
- Common reasons are the nine-active-client cap on Core, the step from $19 to $49 to remove it, and wanting a free plan or a longer trial to evaluate a tool this broad.
