Qwilr alternatives in 2026

Qwilr makes the best-looking proposals in the category, and prices like it: Starter is $49 per user a month ($35 billed annually), Growth needs five users and Scale needs ten, both billed annually. It also stops at the proposal. If you want a lower price, monthly billing or invoicing in the same place, here are eight alternatives with what they actually cost.

1. ApeiroCraft

Free; Solo $19/mo, Team $79/mo, Agency $149/mo

Our own product, so read this entry as interested. Proposals go out as links with read tracking (opens and re-opens) and an e-signature that records name, email, IP and a UTC timestamp. An accepted proposal becomes an invoice in one click, and contacts, tasks and a team notes wiki sit on the same records. Pricing is per account, not per user: Solo covers three people for $19 a month, Team five for $79, Agency twenty for $149. Qwilr is ahead on visual design, embedded media and interactive pricing; ApeiroCraft also has no time tracking, scheduler, client portal or API.

3. Prospero

$19/user/mo, or $12 billed annually

4. Hello Bonsai

Essentials $25/user/mo ($19 annual); Basic $15 has no proposals

Proposals with view notifications, contracts and invoicing from Essentials ($25 per user monthly, $19 annually); the $15 Basic plan has none of them. Less design freedom than Qwilr, but the invoice is in the same place.

7. Dubsado

$335/yr Starter, $525/yr Premier

Proposals, contracts, invoices and a client portal, with scheduling and workflows on Premier ($525 a year). Starter is $335 a year with three users included, so a small team pays less than for a single Qwilr seat.

How to choose

Decide first how much proposal design matters. If clients choose you partly on how the proposal looks and feels, Qwilr and Proposify are the strongest tools here, and the rest are a step down on design. If the proposal mainly needs to be clear, tracked and signable, every tool on the list does that for less.

Then price it for your team. For three people billed monthly: ApeiroCraft $19, Moxie $40, Plutio $49, Prospero $57, Bonsai Essentials $75, and Proposify Build or Qwilr Starter $147 each. Qwilr's Growth plan, at five users minimum, is $275 a month before anything else. For a feature-by-feature view see ApeiroCraft vs Qwilr, and for the wider field, the best proposal software.

Questions

What is the best Qwilr alternative?
For the same level of proposal polish with approval workflows, Proposify. For good proposals at a lower per-user price, Prospero. For a small team that wants proposals, invoices and a CRM at a flat price, ApeiroCraft. If interactive, design-led proposals are what wins you work, Qwilr may still be the right tool.
Is there a free alternative to Qwilr?
Of the tools on this page, ApeiroCraft is the only one with a free plan that doesn't expire: one person, three proposals and three invoices sent a month, with e-signature and read tracking and no card. Every other tool here, Qwilr included, offers a trial of 7 to 30 days instead.
How much does Qwilr cost?
Starter is $35 per user a month billed annually, or $49 billed monthly. Growth is $55 per user with a five-user minimum and Scale is $75 per user with a ten-user minimum, both annual only. There's a 14-day trial. Prices checked 7 October 2026.
Why do people switch from Qwilr?
Common reasons are the per-user price, the five- and ten-user minimums and annual-only billing on Growth and Scale, and needing a second tool for invoicing and client records.
