Proposify alternatives in 2026

Proposify's Build plan is $49 per user a month ($35 billed annually), every plan has a monthly send allowance with a fee per extra send, and the team plans start at $325 a month billed annually. If that's more sales machinery than you need, here are eight alternatives with what they actually cost.

1. ApeiroCraft

Free; Solo $19/mo, Team $79/mo, Agency $149/mo

Our own product, so read this entry as interested. Proposals go out as links with read tracking (opens and re-opens) and an e-signature that records name, email, IP and a UTC timestamp. An accepted proposal becomes an invoice in one click, and contacts, tasks and a team notes wiki sit on the same records. Pricing is per account, not per user: Solo covers three people for $19 a month, Team five for $79, Agency twenty for $149. Proposify is ahead on design freedom, approval workflows and analytics, and ApeiroCraft has no time tracking, scheduler, client portal or API.

Freelancers and small teams who want proposals, invoices and a CRM at one flat price
Skip it if
You need approval workflows, free-form proposal design or team-level sales analytics

2. Qwilr

Starter $35/user/mo annual ($49 monthly)

Proposify's closest like-for-like: web-page proposals with interactive pricing, embedded video and accept-and-sign. Starter is $49 per user billed monthly or $35 annually. Growth ($55 per user) needs five users and Scale ($75 per user) needs ten, both annual only. Three people on Starter cost $147 a month billed monthly, the same as Proposify Build.

Pick it if
Teams who want designed, interactive web-page proposals
Skip it if
You need invoicing or a CRM, or want monthly billing above the Starter plan

3. Prospero

$19/user/mo, or $12 billed annually

The budget proposal specialist: guided, questionnaire-driven proposal building with e-signatures. At $19 per member a month, or $12 billed annually, a seat costs well under half of Proposify Build. It stops at the proposal: no invoicing, no client pipeline.

Pick it if
Freelancers who only need good-looking proposals at a lower per-user price
Skip it if
You also want invoicing or a CRM in the same tool

4. Moxie

$12/mo Starter, $25 Pro, $40 Teams ($10/$20/$32 billed annually)

Not a proposal specialist but an all-in-one for freelancers: proposals, contracts, invoicing and time tracking, with a client portal from Pro. At $12 a month it is the cheapest paid plan on this page for one person, and Teams is $40 a month for up to five members.

Pick it if
Solo freelancers who want proposals, invoicing and time tracking for the least money
Skip it if
You will grow past five people, or need proposal analytics on the level of Proposify

5. Plutio

$19/mo Core, $49 Pro, $199 Max

A broad all-in-one with proposal view tracking. Core ($19) is built for solo work and capped at nine active clients; Pro ($49) removes the client cap and includes 30 contributors; Max is $199.

Pick it if
Solo freelancers who want a wide feature set, including proposal view tracking
Skip it if
You have more than nine active clients and don't want to move up to $49

6. Hello Bonsai

Essentials $25/user/mo ($19 annual); Basic $15 has no proposals

Bonsai has proposal view notifications, contracts and invoicing, but they start at Essentials ($25 per user monthly, $19 annually), not the $15 Basic plan. Plans go up to Elite at $59 per user with a three-user minimum. Per user like Proposify, at roughly half the per-seat price.

Pick it if
Freelancers who want proposals, contracts and invoicing in one per-user tool
Skip it if
You're on a budget and assumed the $15 Basic plan includes proposals: it doesn't

7. Dubsado

$335/yr Starter, $525/yr Premier

Proposals, contracts, invoices and a client portal, with scheduling and automated workflows on Premier. Three users are included and extra users start at $25 a month, so Starter works out to under $28 a month for three people. Expect real setup time.

Pick it if
Service businesses that want custom automated workflows around the proposal
Skip it if
You want to send a proposal today rather than after a setup project

8. HoneyBook

$36–$129/mo monthly ($29–$109 billed yearly)

A client-flow tool with a scheduler, questionnaires and payments built in, rather than a proposal designer. HoneyBook processes client payments itself, with US card fees from 2.9% + 25¢. It serves only the US, Canada, the UK and Australia. 30-day trial and a 60-day money-back guarantee.

Pick it if
Creatives in the US, Canada, the UK or Australia who book work by date
Skip it if
You're based elsewhere, or would rather not route client payments through your proposal tool

How to choose

Start with how many people will send proposals. Proposify Build, Qwilr, Prospero and Bonsai charge per user, so three people cost three times one. Moxie, Plutio, Dubsado and HoneyBook price by tier, and ApeiroCraft prices per account. For three people billed monthly: ApeiroCraft $19, Moxie $40, Plutio $49, Prospero $57, Bonsai Essentials $75, and Proposify Build or Qwilr Starter $147 each.

Then decide whether you need a proposal tool or a business tool. If the proposal is the product, and design, analytics and approvals matter most, Qwilr or Proposify itself will serve you better than any all-in-one here. If the proposal is the start of the work, you'll want invoicing and a client list next to it, which rules out Proposify, Qwilr and Prospero. Questions

What is the best Proposify alternative?
For the same kind of designed, web-based proposal, Qwilr. For the lowest per-user price on proposals alone, Prospero. For a small team that wants proposals, invoices and a CRM at a flat price, ApeiroCraft. If you rely on Proposify's approval workflows and team analytics, the honest answer may be to stay.
Is there a free alternative to Proposify?
Of the tools on this page, ApeiroCraft is the only one with a free plan that doesn't expire: one person, three proposals and three invoices sent a month, with e-signature and read tracking and no card. Every other tool here, Proposify included, offers a trial of 7 to 30 days instead.
How much does Proposify cost?
Build is $49 per user a month, or $35 billed annually. Grow is $325 a month billed annually with five seats, and Scale is $1,066 a month billed annually with ten seats. Extra seats are $780 a year, and every plan has a monthly send limit with a fee per extra send. Prices checked 7 October 2026.
Why do people switch from Proposify?
Common reasons are the per-user price as a team grows, the monthly send limits, and paying for a sales-team tool when what they need is proposals plus invoicing in one place.
